I acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands where I live and work, the Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples. I pay respect to Elders, past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
I am a political geographer specialised in mobility governance within humanitarian contexts. My research explores how everyday im/mobilities interact with overarching systems of providing aid and the human security implications of increasing militarization in emergency responses.
I am further interested in the intersections of identity that shape and are shaped by migration experiences. I recently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Collegium Helveticum, ETH Zürich, where I examined spaces of bordering and belonging for LGBTIQ+ migrants in Australia.

Recruiting for a research project
I am currently recruiting participants for a small pilot project that examines the role of the Australian Defence Forces (ADF) in the 2022 floods in the Northern Rivers, NSW.
This project aims to understand community perceptions of ADF deployment and personal experiences interacting with ADF personnel and practices. Given that climate change will increase the frequency and severity of disasters, understanding the needs of communities is crucial to improving response strategies.
To participate in this project, please feel free to send me an email, scan the QR code in the flyer, or you can click here to access the registration form. Interviews will be held throughout November-December 2025 and during January 2026.
